About Ninoska

A journalist by profession and an artist by passion. Since 2009 she has seriously devoted herself to a career in art, participating in prestigious art shows, solo exhibitions in Miami, Las Vegas and several collective shows including the Frost Museum at FIU. Her art, as she calls it, is nostalgia for the land of her childhood, Cuba. Her whimsical images have in a short time, found a place in the home of collectors, locally and abroad. She has been an Ambassador Artist for the Home Design Show at the Miami Beach Convention Center and in 2013 she was one of four featured artists (Ford Motor Company  Honors Four Latino Artists,Miami) “Share your Dreams” an exhibition during Art Basel. Her art has appeared on the cover of CD’s, posters,  books, cigar labels and fine jewelry. In 2012 she was  chosen among the "100 Latinos" most influential in Miami. One of her iconic Virgen de la Caridad is featured in the Warner Brothers film: War Dogs. As part of a beautification project for Little Havana her art is displayed along the emblematic Calle Ocho, making it a vibrant and colorful area of works by local artists. She recently participated in “La Caridad Nos Une” conmemorating the 50th anniversary of the National Sanctuary, Ermita de la Caridad. She is featured in the recently published book: Cuban American Women Making History. Her art is a mixture of nostalgia transformed into palms, deities, roosters and an array of colorful and elaborate female profiles known as her divas, habaneras, singers or criollas. Like the memories of a child, her work is made up of color, beauty and harmony in each stroke. Since 2012, her studio-gallery opened its doors in the heart of the art district of Little Havana visited by locals and tourists where she feels right at home.
